Introducing Back to Business, Rapport’s events series at The Ned

Rapport’s founder on the journey behind our new events series at The Ned

Story by Amira Hashish

One of the most thrilling aspects of my career has always been the windows it opens into the lives of inspiring people. From CEOs to A-List actors or pioneering politicians, I’ll never take for granted how brilliant it is to sit down over a coffee and quiz them on the highs and lows of their journey. More often than not there’s a common thread between their drive and route to success no matter what industry they honed their craft in. There have been many moments when I’ve thought about how wonderful it would be to invite others into those intimate chats and The Ned seems like the perfect environment in which to make that happen.

So, starting from July 6, I’ll be hosting a monthly live events series for members called Back to Business interviewing the world’s leading business people from a breadth of industries. The conversation will delve into what makes them tick, their tips for success and the lessons they have learned along the way. It’s a chance for them to tell their story and answer any burning questions you may have. After the interview, we’d love attendees to join us for a drink and share their tales too.

The link between everything we do at Rapport is bringing stories to life. One of our core goals is to bring fascinating people together...hence Back to Business.

For the inaugural event I’ll be speaking to the My Wardrobe HQ team including the company's chair Jane Shepherdson CBE. A trailblazer in the fashion industry with more than 20 years of experience as brand director of Topshop and CEO of Whistles, Jane has a wealth of knowledge to impart.

Having transformed the high-street retailers into global fashion brands, she is using her experience to find a way to enjoy fashion without damaging the planet. Since joining rental and resale platform My Wardrobe HQ in 2019, she has taken it to new heights. Its A-List following is spearheaded by Carrie Johnson, who rented the company's dresses for her wedding day and G7 summit appearances.

Secure your spot by booking on the NAPP or website if you are a Ned’s Club member and join us for a BTOB cocktail after the talk. There is a waitlist currently but we’ll do our very best to accommodate. We look forward to hearing your stories.
