I have a Seventies Willy Rizzo coffee table that is my absolute pride and joy. It opens up to reveal a sparkling mirrored bar.

Tiffany Duggan

Studio Duggan director Tiffany Duggan has worked on a wonderful spectrum of projects, from a family retreat in Provence to a contemporary lakehouse in Munich and a Grade II listed converted boathouse on the River Thames.

The studio also has a gorgeous homeware line called TROVE which embodies a nomadic yet timeless style and an emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and the search for the extraordinary and the beautiful.

The pretty pink headquarters on Notting Hill’s Golborne Road is filled with treasures old and new. For our Home and Away series, Tiffany talks us through her eclectic taste in hotels, jewels and beyond.

Talk us through your home...

We have been living at our home in Queen’s Park for six years. We were initially attracted to it by its grand proportions, high ceilings and period features but it was very bland which isn’t my thing. Unlike our design projects, which have a very definitive end, it is constantly evolving. As with most interior designers’ homes, I don’t think it will ever be finished and that’s just fine. It is a great place to explore my style and try out new ideas.

The common thread in Studio Duggan’s projects is that there must always be a varying degree of eclecticism – a little old, a little new and a touch of the unexpected. This is probably more pronounced in my own home. Our house isn’t one style but instead is a carefully considered collection of things I love and make me happy.

The space was arranged so well for us with young children. It is over three floors which meant our two boys had a floor to themselves to create mess, play and create havoc whilst we had our own little sanctuary in the master suite below, which we I adore.

What is your most coveted item?

I have a Seventies Willy Rizzo coffee table that is my absolute pride and joy. It opens up to reveal a sparkling mirrored bar which is really fun when entertaining and acts as a handy remote-control store when we are not.

What is the most precious item in your wardrobe?

I’m not that precious about clothes but I have a vintage opal and diamond ring that used to be my mother’s. I have loved it for as long as I can remember and a few years ago she gave it to me as a present.

Do you have a go to supper dish?

You can’t beat a great pasta. I would have pasta every day if I could. My favourite is linguine with lots of garlic, tomatoes, chilli, chorizo, peas, cream, parmesan and parsley.

Who would be the ultimate neighbour?

I think it would have to be an amazing chef like Skye Gyngell who would pass any uneaten leftovers over the fence and trial new recipes on us.

Which place is worth getting out of bed for?

A Marrakech souk.

Where is next on your travel list?

My dream holiday would be swimming with the pigs of the Exuma’s in the Bahamas with my boys.

Tell us about the hotel of dreams...

I adore the Hotel Costes in Paris. It is just so decadent. Wonderful cocktails, heady scents, a great soundtrack and buckets of red roses scattered around its dimly lit corridors. I would leave the kids at home for this one and enjoy some adult time with my husband.

Finish this sentence: The world's most glorious restaurants are…
